Our interactive historical map comes to us from Sophia Gonzales, as part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program and the McNair Scholars Program, at Trinity University. Sophia collected data by pulling information from city directories from the years 1950-1999 between the 2300-3100 blocks of N. St. Mary's.  She then researched in the San Antonio Express News and the San Antonio Light to write short summaries about each business at each location.  She used KnighLab StoryMaps to construct the map.  The map allows viewers to navigate through the street and spend time learning about each location.  Enjoy!
