Our second annual (!) Love Letters event is happening on February 27th at Jandro's Patrio Garden. This year we have The Walk Offs and the Babylonz official rockin us with Math Problema with their all vinyl curated set of punk, post-punk, disco, post-disco (you get it).
Be ready to share what you love about the St. Mary's Strip. We'll have Valentines and stationary, and your stories will be added to the love letters collection.

Can't stop, gotta rock! The St. Mary's Strip History Project is hosting their next meet up and history harvest on July 26th at @jandros.tx. Michael Martin and the Infidels and the Los #3 Dinners will be playing. The Infidels were the house band for the Crazy Horse Saloon (now where Jandro's is) for many years and The Dinners were a regular on the strip. Please bring out your flyers, pictures, menus, music schedules of any event or place on the strip from the 1980s,1990s, 2000s - if I can scan it on a flatbed scanner, bring it- to add to the website and digital collections! It's an early show with doors opening at 6 and music starting at 7. $7 at the door.

Come learn about the project and explore ways to participate! Abra Schnur will talk about the creation of the project, what has been done so far, and the goal for the summer. As part of Preservation Month, Jessica Anderson from the SA Office of Historic Preservation will share with community members on how to research historical buildings using city directories. Neighbors, musicians, business owners, property owners, and anyone who is interested in the histories of the N. St. Mary's Strip are invited to attend.

We'll be trying something different for this upcoming meetup; live music and (optional) audience participation.
We've received a lot of response from people about how they met their long-time partner on the strip, or yes, even got married on the strip! This event was inspired by you all.
Come out to Jandro's Patio Garden on February 1st to share your story. We'll have stationary to write on. ❤️
However, we know there is also a lot of things not to like some much about the strip. A recent night comes to mind. We'll have heart and broken-heart cutouts to share what everyone loves, or loves to hate about the strip.
Live music by Snowbyrd, Kitten Mitten, and Pleasure Delay. All with members will long St. Mary's Strip roots.

Gallery Club is hosting a Rock the Block event April 13th from 6pm-2am. The St. Mary's Strip History Project will be tabling outside Gallery Club from 6-10pm to talk about the project and scan any memorabilia that is brought. Come on down to the strip!
