The Strip, 1985

In 1985 Frank Haecker was a photography student at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  The strip provided him the perfect opportunity for a photographic study.   Here he has shared a series of images of establishments back in the heyday of the strip as an entertainment district. The series includes Joseph's Foodliner at 2410 N. St. Mary's, St. Mary's Bar and Grill at 3000 N. St. Mary's, Pearl's Oyster Co. at 3011 N. St. Mary's,  Playa Santa Maria at 2702 N. St. Mary's.
