Our first Love Letters meet up was held February 1st, 2025 at Jandro's (2623 N. St. Mary's St.) and it was SO MUCH FUN!  Pleasure Delay, Kitten Mitten, and Snowbyrd played, evoking the '00s era of the strip.

Instead of long-form oral history interviews and history harvests where people share photos, flyers, menus, programs, ticket stubs, etc. with the project, we asked people to share what they love, or perhaps what they loved to hate, about the strip in the form of written words, phrases, or stories. The intention was to go beyond the newspapers, “official” documentation, and other recorded information to get at what having an entertainment district has meant to people, both good and bad, over the decades. It was meant to give us a chance to reflect while being in space and in community.
